4 for Sinclair; Canada tops Haiti 6-0 in qualifier

Christine Sinclair scored four goals Thursday night as the Canadian women's soccer team opened its bid for an Olympic berth with a 6-0 win over Haiti.

The Canadian captain scored in the 25th, 43rd and 55th minutes for her 10th hat trick in international play and converted a penalty kick in the 85th for her 124th international goal. Her third goal was set up by a stellar no-look, over-the-head pass by Melissa Tancredi.

Sinclair also assisted on Christina Julien's goal in the 7th minute.

Kelly Parker added a goal in second-half stoppage time for Canada, looking to earn one of two CONCACAF berths for the Summer Games in London.

Canada played the second half without defender Lauren Sesselmann, hurt in a knee-to-knee collision with Haiti's Samantha Marie-Ann Brand.
