Williams, Capitals put smiles on faces of Make-A-Wish families

Washington Capitals forward Justin Williams is known as "Mr. Game 7" for his knack of coming through in the clutch in the finale of a playoff series.

Well, the postseason is still a few months away but the 34-year-old Williams and his Washington teammates came through recently by delivering smiles to the faces of several Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic families. The Capitals' contingent shared both their time and hearts while interacting with the kids during a recent luncheon after practice.

"You put a smile on somebody's face. It goes along with a lot of things we do in the community. It is all about doing what we can to make someone's life a little better."

Williams was not alone as goaltender Philipp Grubauer joined defensemen Karl Alzner, Brooks Orpik and John Carlson as well as forwards T.J. Oshie, Jason Chimera, Jay Beagle, Michael Latta and Tom Wilson in making it a banner day for all.

Like much of Washington's season, the luncheon was a resounding success judging by the reaction of the kids.

Score yet another one for the red-hot Capitals.
