Wild's Vanek, Carter, Prosser attend Starkey gala

Minnesota Wild players Thomas Vanek, Ryan Carter and Nate Prosser took off the skates and put on their best suits to attend the Starkey Hearing Foundation's 15th Annual "So the World May Hear" gala in St. Paul over the weekend.

The Wild trio joined celebrities ranging from pop star Katy Perry and legendary rocker Gene Simmons of Kiss to boxer Evander Holyfield and football's Terrell Owens among others. Also honored at the Saint Paul RiverCentre was former President George W. Bush.

Perry was a participant in the musical performances of the evening, prompting a reporter to ask Carter who he felt was her biggest fan among the hockey players.

"Probably Nate Prosser," Carter said. "He loves pop music and he's got a couple young girls so I think that would be good for him."
