Wild forward Graovac sidelined 2-3 weeks with groin strain

Minnesota Wild forward Tyler Graovac is expected to miss two-to-three weeks with a groin strain, coach Mike Yeo announced on Tuesday.

A seventh-round selection of the 2011 draft, Graovac provided an early feel-good story for the Wild by making the club out of training camp.

Graovac won nine of 12 faceoff draws despite playing in just 14 minutes in Minnesota's stirring 5-4 victory over the Colorado Avalanche in the season opener on Thursday. The 22-year-old Ontario native, however, sat out versus the St. Louis Blues two nights later.

Listed at 6-foot-5, 200 pounds, Graovac has failed to record a point in four career regular-season games with Minnesota.
