Wild defenseman Blum headed to Kontinental Hockey League
Minnesota Wild defenseman Jonathon Blum is taking his game to the Kontinental Hockey League.
Blum confirmed the signing with Admiral Vladivostok to Michael Russo of the Minneapolis Star Tribune after news of his departure to Russia was initially reported by Igor Eronko of Sport-Express. The 26-year-old Blum was a restricted free agent.

The 23rd overall pick of the 2007 draft, Blum notched one assist in four games with Minnesota last season after spending most of his time with the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League.
Blum has recorded two assists in 19 contests over the last two seasons with the Wild after scoring seven goals and setting up 15 others in three campaigns with the Nashville Predators.
