What does Ray Shero have on his plate?
May 4th marked the turning of a chapter that was 28 years in the making. Lou Lamoriello announced he was stepping down as General Manager of the Devils, and named Ray Shero his successor.
For his first move, New Jersey's new GM inked Jordin Tootoo to a one-year contract extension. Up next for him surely must be naming a head coach. With Todd McLellan headed to Edmonton, there is one fewer potential candidate available. Who will Shero be able to land? Any significant personnel decisions are likely on hold until the front office knows for sure who their next head coach will be.
