Watch P.K. Subban blast his first goal as member of Predators
P.K. Subban didn't wait long to send Nashville into a frenzy.
The defenseman scored his first goal as a member of the Predators during their season-opener on Friday night, and it was a beauty. Subban absolutely blasted a laser past Blackhawks goaltender Corey Crawford during a first period power play, tying the game at 1-1. The home crowd went absolutely bonkers.
It was a huge moment for Subban, who was shipped to Nashville from Montreal this summer in exchange for Shea Weber. The unexpected blockbuster deal shook the hockey world, and Subban could be out for vengeance this year. Last week, the defenseman said that the Canadiens dealt him over issues with his personality.
Whatever the reason for the deal, the Subban era in Nashville is off to a hot start. I'm sure that makes Montreal feel just peachy.
PK Subban quote to @alex_prewitt: "Ppl said it was a hockey trade. I think it’s the furthest from that. I think it was a personality trade.”
