Watch a 6-foot-7 Stars defenseman dangle his way through opponents before scoring

The Dallas Stars got some highlight reel offense from one of the unlikeliest candidates on the roster on Wednesday night in St. Louis.

During the second period of their contest against the Blues, Stars defenseman Jamie Oleksiak stick-handled his way through a couple of St. Louis players -- including one of their top defenders in Alex Pietrangelo -- before shooting the puck past Jake Allen for the goal. The showcase of soft hands and creativity left everybody a little stunned, as Oleksiak is a stay-at-home defenseman who just happens to be 6 feet 7 inches tall and 255 pounds.

The 23-year-old Dallas blueliner, who is the older brother of Canadian Olympic swimmer Penny Oleksiak, entered the game with just two career goals to his name, but he matched that total on Wednesday night. In addition to the fancy work you see above, he also forced overtime with a game-tying goal in the final minute of regulation.

Not a bad night for the big rig.
