When you look at this Vegas Golden Knights roster it's not hard to imagine just how competitive they will be next season, they have a ton of scorers and some solid vets to help give this team some wins. They also have accumulated a solid amount of draft picks and prospects in the process, practically bleeding organizations dry.

But none the less, we all knew this was coming. And when you see it unfold and start to picture the possible depth chart you start to think "can these guys make the playoffs next year" and the more you think about it the more real of an idea it becomes.

Because let's be honest this team is incredibly solid, they have four lines that can score at any time and three defensive units that will shut you down but who will also contribute. The Knights will definitely have a better team than the jersey they are wearing that is for sure. So without further ado, here are picks 21-30 including all trades made by the team.

Pick 21. David Perron

The 29-year-old Perron has been a very solid role player in the NHL, and goal scorer. With his best coming in 2013-14 when he scored 28 goals for Edmonton. He began his career in 2007-08 for St. Louis and hasn't looked back spending time with Pittsburgh and Anaheim as well. Last season he put up 46 points in 82 games for the Blues so he could very well put up 35-50 again for Vegas next season.

Pick 22. Oscar Lindberg

Drafted by Arizona but traded to the Rangers, Lindberg never played an NHL game until 2014-15 when he appeared in just one for the Rangers. And he was just getting in his groove too with the club putting up 28 and 20 points in the last two seasons respectively. And now that he's on the rise makes him a very solid selection for the Knights.

Pick 23. Griffin Reinhart

The former first round pick selected fourth overall hasn't had the easiest time getting himself in the NHL as a regular. He's played in a total of 37 NHL games putting up just two points, so this is more of a depth selection for the Knights than a full-time slot filling the selection. Either way, Griffin will break out sometime he has the potential and it could very well be in Vegas.

Pick 24. Alexei Emelin

If you want a defenseman that will take the body during five on five, eat time on the penalty kill and fire slap shots from the point on the power play, then Alexei Emelin is that guy. He's played solely for Montreal since the 2011-12 season and since he's not overly offensive with just 72 points in 380 games, his defensive play makes up for it.

Pick 25. Clayton Stoner

Clayton Stoner is nothing but a depth pick that will most likely be flipped or let go at a later date. What he brought with him though will be discussed at the end. He's never posted a season with more than 12 points which just goes to show just how defensive minded he is, which is never a bad thing.

Pick 26. Erik Haula

People knew of Erik Haula going to Vegas since yesterday when trade details were leaked, but never the less he's still a top nine forward that will bring some scoring the Knights amongst others. In 2015-16, Haula posted his best offensive season with Minnesota putting up 34 points in 76 games. Last season he put up 26 points in 72 games as well as one point in four playoff games due to injury. But he should be good to go come the 2017-18 season.

Pick 27. William Karlsson

After appearing in just 18 games for Anaheim in the 2014-15 season where he put up three points, Karlsson was moved to Columbus later that season where he scored two more points in only three games. But he's been steadily improving over the years, in 2015-16 he posted 20 points in 81 games and 25 points in 81 games last season, showing his scoring is going up and he's able to stay healthy as well. He's not a fringe pick by the Knights he's there to stay and he's going to see some quality ice time.

Pick 28. Trevor van Riemsdyk

I've done quite a few Vegas mock drafts over the season and in every single one I had the Knights choosing defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk because he's just too good not to pick. He's not overly offensive like his brother James, but he does contribute as well as eat up a ton of ice time so expect to see him a lot in the black and gold, or should I say the black, gold, gray, and red.

Pick 29. Marc-Andre Fleury

Everyone saw this move coming, and I mean everyone. Ever since the talks of Vegas began and Matthew Murray starting taking over the net, Fleury's name was tied to the club. So it's no surprise that he was chosen but it's still a shock to the senses that next year Vegas will have a former Cup winner as a starter and it cost them nothing.

Pick 30. Nate Schmidt

Nate Schmidt is another one of those fringe picks by the Knights, he's not going to see a ton of ice time but what he will see is what he's accustomed too. In Washington, he's had some limited offensive contributions where he posted 16 points in 2015-16 and 17 last season, but that team was highly offensive. With the Knights, if he makes the team as a regular he could get anywhere between eight and 13 points, depending on how healthy he stays.

Trades.

When the Knights selected William Carrier from Buffalo they also acquired a 2017 sixth round draft pick for not selecting one of the two players Buffalo left exposed.

The selection of Jon Marchessault wasn't just huge cause he's coming off a 30 goal campaign but because Vegas was willing to take Reilly Smith's $5 million dollar contract and exchange the Knights only had to give up a 2018 fourth round pick.

For the Knights selecting Connor Brickley instead of someone better who was exposed the Carolina Hurricanes said thank you by also handing them a 2017 fifth round pick.

The selection of Jason Garrison raised some eyebrows but it's what he brought with him that mattered. The Knights also acquired Nikita Gusev, a 2017 second round pick and a 2018 fourth round pick.

Now with Jaroslav Halak exposed the selection of J.F. Berube came as a surprise to some and they also went on to acquire Mikhail Grabovski, Jake Bischoff, a first round pick in 2017 and a second round pick in 2019.

Now above when I said what came with Clayton Stoner is what really matters, well he brought with him top prospect Shea Theodore.

For the Knights selecting pending free agent Erik Haula, they were given prospect Alex Tuch in exchange for a conditional 2017 pick and a 2018 third round pick.

Now, how bad is David Clarkson's contract? Bad enough that he's been moved twice now due to it. When the Knights chose William Karlsson they were also given Clarkson, a 2017 first round pick, and a 2019 second round pick. What gets confusing is Winnipeg jumped in and dealt their 2017 first round pick and 2019 third round pick for that Columbus first rounder.

When the Knights chose goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury the Penguins always rewarded them with a 2020 second round draft pick.

For all the teams that gave the Knights a pick for selecting a player who received nothing in return were given Expansion Draft Considerations which is where the Knights promised not to choose one of their best-exposed players.
