We never expected the road to the playoffs to be an easy one for the Vancouver Canucks. Most of us never even expected them to be in the race. After a 4-0-0 start into the season, however, there was hope. At least until the Canucks shattered it with three straight losses, one of which was a 3-0 against the Ottawa Senators.

Tonight’s match-up against the Edmonton Oilers will be especially important. The Oilers currently have the lead in the Pacific Division, and with a full season of Connor McDavid, they are more than a decent team. If the Canucks want to turn things around, now is the time.
