Tony La Russa to drop first puck at Blues game
Tony La Russa's not done with his victory lap yet.
La Russa resigned two days after managing the St. Louis Cardinals to the World Series title over the Texas Rangers, and the farewell news conference was early enough for him to make an appearance on the ''Late Show with David Letterman'' in New York.
On Friday night, La Russa will drop the ceremonial puck before the St. Louis Blues play the Vancouver Canucks.
The Blues are commemorating the Cardinals' 11th World Series title with mezzanine level tickets for $11.11, and with plaza-level tickets for $29, Game 7 winner Chris Carpenter's jersey number.
