The Ryan twins drop in on Buffalo's other major-league team

It's been said more than once that coaches who listen to fans will soon wind up sitting with those fans.

With that in mind,  first-year Buffalo Sabres coach Dan Bylsma would do well to remember that professional hockey teams can only put six men on the ice at a time.

So suggestions from these two fans at Friday's NHL game in Buffalo between the Sabres and the Boston Bruins to switch into a 3-4 defensive alignment would not be the way to go.

Besides the fact that it would trigger minor penalties for too many men on the ice, that defense didn't do much for the Buffalo Bills, who slid down the ladder in defensive stats during the 2015 NFL season after being near the top of the league the previous year.

OK, maybe that's not fair to twins Rob and Rex Ryan since the team had its share of problems on offense, too, amid a string of injuries.

Rex was the Bills' first-year head coach this fall, and he recently added his brother to Buffalo's staff after Rob was fired as defensive coordinator by the New Orleans Saints.
