Swift once distracted Blackhawks' Kane, leading to opposing goal

When Patrick Kane first entered the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2007-08 season, he was a young, wide-eyed flashy forward that could entertain everyone on the ice.

At the the team's Fan Convention Saturday, Kane and his head coach during his rookie year, Blackhawks legend Denis Savard, sat down and recollected their time together in Chicago. They discussed their relationship, but Savard shared a little story about his then-knucklehead future superstar and how he could easily get distracted during games (Via, Second City Hockey):

"Kane lost his guy on the backcheck, leading to a goal against. Savard yelled at him that he must have been distracted, looking at two pretty blonde girls who were sitting behind the bench. After the game, Kane was late getting to the team bus because he was talking to the same girls and got yelled at again. The next day, Kane went to Savard’s office to give his defense (saying), 'You know who the two girls were? One of them was Taylor Swift.' Savard still didn’t know who Taylor Swift was and had to ask his wife."

Thankfully, it doesn't sound like there's any bad blood between Kane and Savard despite the fact that it doesn't sound like the two will ever, ever, ever get back together.
