Senators coach Dave Cameron to return, says contract awaits signing

Dave Cameron started this season as an assistant coach for the Senators, but after receiving a promotion to the head coaching job mid-season, it looks like Cameron will be back as a head coach for next year.

Cameron told the media during his end-of-year availability Wednesday that he had received a contract from general manager Bryan Murray.

"It's sitting on my kitchen table," Cameron told reporters.

Later in the press conference, Murray told the media he plans to return next season despite battling incurable colon cancer. Murray told reporters his doctors approve of him continuing to work as long as his health remains stable.
