Seguin, Benn to participate in sled hockey charity event
The hockey season is just around the corner, but Dallas Stars fans can get an early start when a handful of players return to the area to chip in for charity at the end of the month. Both Jordie Benn and Tyler Seguin are expected to be in attendance at a Dallas Sled Hockey game on Aug. 29 as part of an event to benefit the sled hockey team.
According to the Dallas Sled Hockey Twitter account, the event will feature a head-to-head match-up between some of the Dallas Stars and the best sled hockey players in Texas. There will also be a private meet-and-greet with Seguin before the game for anyone who purchases a VIP ticket, which is priced at $100.
Regular tickets to the event cost $20 and kids can get in for free.
This isn't the first time Seguin and a Benn brother have reached out to sled hockey players. Last September, Seguin and Jamie Benn tried out sled hockey with children from the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Southwest Wheelchair Athletic Association.
