Schenn makes NHL debut for Kings

Brayden Schenn made his NHL debut Thursday night for the Los Angeles Kings after signing a one-day amateur tryout agreement. The 18-year-old center, drafted fifth overall last summer, was given the tryout agreement because he hasn't signed an entry-level contract. Schenn, who has 12 goals and 27 assists in 24 games this season for the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Western Hockey League, was signed after the Kings placed Andrei Loktionov on injured reserve because of an upper-body injury. Schenn, the third-youngest player in Kings history, had two goals in five preseason games for the Kings. He's the younger brother of Toronto defenseman Luke Schenn.
