Sabres recall goaltender Linus Ullmark
After an impressive early showing in the NHL, Buffalo Sabres goaltending prospect Linus Ullmark got the call up to the NHL.
Ullmark, a 2012 sixth-round draft pick, has been nothing short of dominant in his first AHL games with the Rochester Americans, sporting a 2.72 goals against average and a .932 save percentage.
Ullmark, 22, will replace Nathan Lieuwen as Chad Johnson's backup.
Ullmark is thrilled about his opportunity.
“It’s like a dream come true,” Ullmark told Bill Hoppe of the Olean Times Herald. “You’re always thinking about this when you’re growing up, and now I’m here, and I’m really excited.”
