Ryan Miller makes wild, diving glove save to prevent empty-net goal

Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg thought he had an empty-net goal from mid-ice on Thursday night, but Canucks goalie Ryan Miller suddenly morphed into a corner infielder and made a wild, diving glove save to rob the Wings' captain of a late tally.

Vancouver was attempting to pull the goalie to close the gap on a two-goal deficit late in the third period, but a loss of possession gave Zetterberg a decent chance on the empty net as Miller was on his way to the bench.

Fortunately, Miller was quick on his feet and backtracked, recovering just in time to make the impressive save and keep his team in the game. Ultimately, it wouldn't make much of a difference, though, as Detroit held on for the 3-1 win.
