Report: Isles' prospect sent packing after arriving late to camp
New York Islanders prospect Joshua Ho-Sang did himself a disservice on Friday by reportedly arriving late for the first day of training camp.
As a result, the Islanders elected to send the 19-year-old Ho-Sang back to Niagara of the Ontario Hockey League, according to Arthur Staple of Newsday.
Staple did note that several members within the New York organization said Ho-Sang's behavior "had been exemplary during the week of rookie camp that preceded today."
The Ontario native is no stranger to controversy, as he drew criticism for labeling his 2014 snub from Canada's World Junior team as "insulting".
Selected 28th overall of the 2014 draft, Ho-Sang collected 17 goals and 64 assists in 60 games with the Windsor Spitfires and Niagara IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League in 2014-15. He also scored one goal and set up 15 others in 11 playoff contests.

Joshua Ho-Sang was late for the first day of #Isles training camp. He's been sent back to Niagara of the OHL. Camp over for him.

Ho-Sang was also going to skate this weekend on the right side with Tavares and Lee. Clearly #Isles value him.
