Report: Edmonton Oilers' Jordan Eberle out four to six weeks

During last night's preseason game against the Arizona Coyotes, Jordan Eberle was pushed behind the Coyotes' net and went awkwardly into the boards. Eberle left the game and never returned.

Today, the Oilers announced that Eberle will be out for four to six weeks with a shoulder injury.

The 25-year-old Eberle finished with 24 goals and 63 points last season.

With the injury, Nail Yakupov could potentially step up into the first line right wing position. Yakupov finished with a career high 19 assists and 33 points last year, primarily playing as a second or third-line player. The injury could also mean a bigger role for Leon Draisaitl at the beginning of the year.
