Predators' Sullivan hit in face with puck
Predators forward Steve Sullivan has been taken to a hospital for tests after he was hit in the face by a puck in Nashville's 3-1 victory over Vancouver.
Nashville coach Barry Trotz said Thursday night that Sullivan was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He said Sullivan was being evaluated and an update would be available Friday.
Sullivan was hit in the facial area, but not his eye.
Sullivan was in the left circle waiting for a pass in the second period when the puck hit the stick of an opposing player and jumped off the ice into the air.
He went to the ice immediately after he was hit and needed a few minutes before going to the locker room.
