Penguins' Fleury continues lucky streak by winning at horseshoes

Veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury has been riding quite the lucky streak of late, winning seven of his last nine starts as the Pittsburgh Penguins steadily have ascended in the Eastern Conference.

Fleury opted to test his luck on Saturday afternoon in the Sunshine State as Pittsburgh took advantage of a break in the schedule to play an impromptu game of horseshoes. To sweeten the pot, several of the Penguins' fathers were in attendance and were willing to participate.

Rather than team with his father, Andre, Fleury joined forces with teammate Chris Kunitz and reportedly took the elders to task. Via PittsburghPenguins.com:

"It was just nice to give him a lesson of horseshoes. It was good to beat his butt."

With bragging rights secured, the younger Fleury can now tune out any excess noise and turn his attention from the beach to the ice.

Fleury (22-13-5, 2.37 goals-against average) is expected to be back in net as the Penguins (28-19-7) complete their two-game trek against the Florida Panthers (32-18-6) on Monday.
