Patrice Bergeron to raffle off suite to benefit Denna Laing
In the days following Boston Pride forward Denna Laing's announcement that she suffered a severe spinal cord injury at the Women's Winter Classic on Dec. 31, many local celebrities stepped up to find ways to help support Laing.
The most recent famous face on that list is Boston Bruins forward Patrice Bergeron, who is auctioning off his personal suite at the TD Garden for the Bruins game against the Anaheim Ducks on Jan. 26. All proceeds from the auction will go to the Denna Laing Fund.
Included in the package are 12 tickets for the suite which comes with food for the game as well as a personal meet-and-greet with Bergeron following the game. Tickets for the online raffle are just $5 and can be purchased here.
Laing was recently moved from the ICU at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston to rehab at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in nearby Charlestown, Mass. In the past week, she has regained the ability to talk, eat and drink, and on Thursday, she posed for a photo with representatives from the Bruins.

Laing's injury left her with limited mobility in her arms and no movement or sensation from her chest down. You can follow Laing's recovery on Facebook, Twitter or DennaLaing.org.
