Ousted Senators reveal injuries to Clarke MacArthur, Marc Methot
One of the more interesting releases from a team once they are eliminated from the playoffs is the injury report. NHL players are famous for playing through injuries, and Ottawa's roster proved to be a typical hockey roster as the team revealed some of its injuries Monday.
According to NHL Insider Pierre LeBrun, both Clarke MacArthur and Marc Methot played through hip flexor injuries in the first-round series against the Montreal Canadiens. Methot even averaged more time on ice during the playoffs than he did in the regular season, and although MacArthur missed the second half of Game 5 after aggravating the injury, he returned to play in Game 6.
The Senators will hold their end-of-season media availability on Tuesday, and the media should learn more about any additional injuries then.
