There were seven games on the NHL's Sunday schedule. First, the Penguins shut out the Panthers 4-0, the Blue Jackets beat out the Devils 4-1 and the Jets topped the Wild 5-4.

The Hawks topped the Avalanche 6-3, the Canadiens beat the Senators 4-1, the Flyers topped the Hurricanes 4-3 in OT and the Flames beat the Kings 5-2.

It might seem like it might be too early to discuss offseason targets but it doesn't hurt to scope out the possibilities.     NHL Olympic Participation Uncertain; Senators' Owner Eugene Melnyk Not Entertaining

    The 2018 Olympics are still a little over a year out and the NHL has yet to officially decide whether or not they'll participate in the world event. Regardless, some team owners, like at the Capitals for example, have hinted that they wouldn't be against one of their players opting for Olympic participation (Alex Ovechkin) but Senators' owner Eugene Melnyk isn't feeling it.     Cam Talbot has been a clutch player between the pipes for the Edmonton Oilers. Talbot has been a standout for the Oilers this season and has been performing at pretty impressive rates. Now, the Oilers are appreciative of his skill when their defensive play drops and Talbot finds a way to grab the win anyway.
