Nashville Predators Home Games Will All Feature Golden Helmets
The Nashville Predators are making a bold decision- so love them or hate them, the golden helmets are here to stay.
The Nashville Predators have officially announced that the helmets from last year’s “Golden Saturdays” promotion will be a permanent fixture in Nashville this coming season and will be featured in every single home game at Bridgestone Arena.
The announcement doesn’t come as a complete surprise since many of the Predators have been seen wearing the golden helmets at their informal skating sessions and team practices as of late.

Perhaps most surprising though is the Predators decision to expand the golden helmets to include every home game after receiving mixed (at best) to negative reviews upon their debut last season.
“The golden helmets are the worst thing the Predators have come up with since the Barb Murphy commercials.”
There is the notion, however, that the golden helmets were the answer to the league’s ask for a third, ‘alternative,’ jersey last season- and that giving the helmets a full-time gig this year will allow them to adopt totally different alternate jersey in the future. Though the point could also be argued that this would have been achieved if the yellow hats were dumped altogether, as well.
Detractors aside, the Predators have fully embraced the golden theme in Nashville, helmets and all, and you can expect more of the same throughout this season.
