Milan Lucic speaks out on former linemate David Krejci's hot start

Although Milan Lucic has moved on to a new team with the Los Angeles Kings, he is still keeping semi up-to-date with his former teammates. Lucic spent significant time in Boston on a line with David Krejci, and Lucic said he is not surprised that Krejci is off to a strong start to the season.

"I think when you go through the season he did last year full of injuries and not being able to play at the high level he’s used to, I expected him to work his absolute hardest this offseason to get back to full form," Lucic said in an interview with Joe McDonald of ESPN Boston. "It’s paid off so far through the first month of the season.”

Krejci leads the Bruins in scoring with 15 points (seven goals, eight assists) in 12 games. He was briefly at the top of the scoring charts in the league as well, but Krejci has had a rough week and failed to record a point in any of his past three games. Lucic, meanwhile, has seven points (two goals, five assists) in 13 games with the Kings, good for fourth on the team in scoring.
