Manny Malhotra returns to Canucks as development coach
VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) Former Vancouver Canucks forward Manny Malhotra returned to the team Wednesday as a development coach.
The 36-year-old Malhotra signed with the Canucks in 2010 and spent parts of three seasons with the team. He had 116 goals in 991 career games with the New York Rangers, Dallas Stars, Columbus Blue Jackets, San Jose Sharks, Canucks, Carolina Hurricanes and Montreal Canadiens, last playing for the Canadiens in 2014-15.
Malhotra will work with players to develop specialized skills. He will work on a part-time basis at home practices and will travel on occasion to work with prospects.
