Man gets married in St. Louis jersey at Blues-themed wedding

There's an old adage that a woman should have something blue on her wedding day. One Illinois couple took that adage to the next level by turning everything blue for a Blues-themed wedding. 

Chris Shannon and his new wife, Heather, shared pictures of their recent nuptials on Twitter, and it looked like a dream wedding for any hockey fan. Shannon wore a David Backes jersey for the wedding while Heather went for a more traditional white dress.

The wedding theme was reportedly Chris's choice, as he told KPLR St. Louis that while he is a huge Blues fan, his wife has never been to a game. She does root for the Blues, however, and KPLR reported that the Blues are the only team she follows. 

Shannon did not reveal what plans the couple have in place for the honeymoon, but it seems like Heather's first Blues game would be a good start.
