Leafs win big ... at a carnival
The season has not started yet, but the Leafs already have some victories. Unfortunately, they come at a fair grounds rather than on the ice.
Jake Gardiner and Nazem Kadri hit up the Canadian National Exhibition recently, an annual fair boasting fun for the entire family, and the pair of Leafs apparently had some success in the games department as they took to Instagram to boast of their winnings.
It's unknown what the players plan to do with their large stuffed animals, but perhaps they would make for a good locker room trophy. Other teams have used interesting objects to reward good play before. The Bruins had a throwback starter jacket in 2011 and the New York Rangers awarded the broadway hat to the player of the game in the past few years.
Perhaps the Leafs could have a domination donut or daily dinosaur. Or maybe Gardiner and Kadri will simply keep their toys at home.
