Goaltending and extra rest could give Rangers the edge

After dispatching the Pittsburgh Penguins in just five games, the New York Rangers have had an opportunity to gain some additional rest. That rest could prove pivotal for them in their second round series with Washington, who comes to town fresh off a seven game marathon against the Islanders.

If goaltender Henrik Lundqvist continues playing in top form, and the Rangers' core group of rested players stays healthy, they may just have the edge over the Capitals.
