Goalies gone mad! In same game, one slashes opponent in head while other plain quits

London Knights goaltender Anthony Stolarz received an eight-game suspension from the Ontario Hockey League for slashing Windsor Spitfires forward Josh Ho-Sang in the head during Tuesday night’s quarterfinal playoff game.

After a first-period whistle, Ho-Sang gave Stolarz’s pads a little slash, which caused the reaction from the Knights goalie. The most shocking result of the incident was that Stolarz received just a two-minute minor penalty for high sticking.

Check out the incident in the video below.

Meanwhile at the other end of the ice, Windsor Spitfires goaltender Dalen Kuchmey made his first career playoff start for Windsor. The Knights won 10-2, and that didn't seem to go over well with Kuchmey.

After allowing eight goals, Kuchmey wanted to come out, but Spitfires head coach Bob Boughner was hesitant to make a goalie switch because the other active netminder, Alex Fotinos (who usually starts), was feeling ill. With about five minutes left in the second period and London leading 8-1, Kuchmey took matters into his own hands and pulled himself from the game.
