Flames waive veteran Raymond, Byron
The Calgary Flames placed veteran Mason Raymond and fellow forward Paul Byron on waivers Monday.
Signed to a three-year, $9.45 million contract in the summer of 2014, Raymond has two years remaining at a cap hit of $3.15 million. The 30-year-old Alberta native is expected to clear waivers and be sent to Stockton of the American Hockey League.

Raymond collected 12 goals and 11 assists in 57 games with the Flames last season. A second-round selection in the 2005 draft, Raymond scored 111 goals and set up 135 others with the Vancouver Canucks, Toronto Maple Leafs and Flames.
Byron, 26, battled injury en route to notching six goals and 13 assists in 57 games last season.
