Flames' Ferland agrees to two-year deal

The Calgary Flames agreed to terms on a two-year contract with restricted free-agent left wing Micheal Ferland on Thursday.

The deal is worth $1.65 million, with $900,000 being earned in the second year, TSN's Darren Dreger reported.

"I'm really anxious to get to camp and get it all going," Ferland told Randy Sportak of the Calgary Sun.

Ferland collected two goals and three assists in 26 games during his rookie season in 2014-15. The 23-year-old also scored three times and set up two others in the playoffs as the Flames advanced to the second round before getting bounced by the Anaheim Ducks.
