Flames fan pokes fun at Vancouver GM Jim Benning with 'thank you' flowers

Rivalries sometimes bring out the best of NHL fans on Twitter, and one Calgary Flames fan hit the jackpot on hockey humor when he decided to order flowers for Vancouver GM Jim Benning in order to thank Benning for a series of offseason moves which have upset the Vancouver fanbase and pleased opposing fans. 

If ordering flowers alone was not funny enough, the note the fan included with the flowers added to the hilarity.

The gesture came one day after the Canucks signed new trade acquisition Brandon Sutter to a five-year contract extension, a move which surprised some considering Sutter's highest-ever point total in a season was 33 points in 80 games last season. 

It is unknown whether the Twitter user actually completed the order and sent the flowers, but the sentiment from a Flames fan was interesting regardless.
