Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby connected for a gorgeous game-winner in OT
Sidney Crosby had a pretty special night on Thursday in Pittsburgh. Not only did he notch his 1,000th career point against the Jets but he also potted the game-winner in overtime.
However, that game-winner would not have been possible without an amazing effort from Evgeni Malkin, who showcased incredible creativity and stick handling to deliver the assist to Crosby's stick in the closing seconds of OT. Malkin managed to dangle through a defender's legs before setting up Sid, who put it in the back of the net for his third point of the night.
Pretty excellent display of vision by this guy.
Most people know by now how talented and special both Crosby and Malkin are, but it's been a particularly special week for the two Penguins superstars. Crosby is out here racking up points to keep pace in the Art Ross race, and Malkin is just delivering spectacular assist after spectacular assist. It's a good time to be a Pens fan.
