Daniel Sedin is players' pick as NHL MVP

Daniel Sedin has been picked by fellow players as the NHL's most outstanding player.

Sedin won the Ted Lindsay Award during the league's show on Wednesday. It could be the first of two big honors for Sedin, who is also a Hart Trophy finalist for the traditional NHL MVP.

Sedin won the Art Ross Trophy for the most points with 104, following his twin brother Henrik's win last season. He tied for fourth in the league in goals and was third in assists.

Sedin beat Anaheim's Corey Perry and Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos. Perry led the league with 50 goals while Stamkos was second with 45.
