Cubs' Rizzo strikes out in Blackhawks' 'Shoot the Puck' contest

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo won't be joining Patrick Kane and the Blackhawks on the ice in the near future.

Named to Major League Baseball's All-Star Game on two occasions, Rizzo fell short of elite status when he participated in the "Shoot the Puck" festivities during intermission of Tuesday's game between the Nashville Predators and host Blackhawks.

"It was cool being center ice like that. (I was) nervous. Obviously I did terrible."

With Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" blasting in the background, the 26-year-old Rizzo didn't exactly knock it out of the park from center ice.

Well, at least Rizzo has that promising baseball career in his back pocket. The power-hitting first baseman had 31 homers and a career-best 101 RBIs last season for the Cubs.
