Connor McDavid scores first ever NHL goal

It took him three games, but Connor McDavid finally got that NHL goal he's undoubtedly craved for a long, lone time.

It wasn't like his pretty plays with the Erie Otters in the OHL, where he'd weave and carve his way through the offensive zone. He instead found himself at the right place at the right time.

The puck was kicked back to Andrej Sekera, who fired a shot towards the net. McDavid cut towards the slot, and managed to get the tip of his stick on the net.

After the game, McDavid said he was relieved to get that first NHL goal under his belt, but expressed disappointment with the Oilers' 4-2 loss to the Dallas Stars. He and his Edmonton squad are off to an 0-3-0 start.
