Capitals' Wilson takes lengthy visit to Wild's bench
Although Tom Wilson accepts his paychecks from the Washington Capitals, a stiff body check from fellow forward Nino Niederreiter resulted in the former nearly paying rent on the Minnesota Wild bench on Thursday.
The upended Wilson found himself on the floor in front of the bench midway into second period before Minnesota defenseman Christian Folin appeared to grow tired of the uninvited guest.

An official skated over to make sure Wilson's approximate 10-second stay with the Wild had come to an end.
Although it took Wilson a bit to get back on his feet, the NHL-best Capitals (40-9-4) didn't miss a step as they won their fifth in a row with a 4-3 victory.
