Capitals take private tour of The White House

Members of the Washington Capitals turned an off day into a memorable one on Wednesday by taking a private tour of The White House.

The team with the NHL's best record ventured to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue to take a closer look at the "home" of President Barack Obama. Who knows? Should the Capitals (35-9-4) continue their winning ways, perhaps another trip to the White House will be in order - as Stanley Cup champions.

Brooks Laich opted to have a bit of fun on social media as he posted that he had a quick chat with Obama about taxes. 

It should be noted that Obama actually was in Baltimore at the time the Capitals visited the White House.

Laich was joined by fellow forwards Justin Williams, Marcus Johansson and Nicklas Backstrom, defensemen Brooks Orpik and John Carlson and goaltenders Braden Holtby and Philipp Grubauer in taking in a lay of the land.
