Capitals' Orlov is ready to play some hockey

It's been a long time since Dmitry Orlov played some NHL hockey.

The Washington Capitals defenseman missed the entire 2014-15 season due to a wrist injury and surgery. And now that his wrist is completely healed, he's ready to get back on the ice and contribute for the Capitals.

Orlov was able to participate in three games for the AHL's Hershey Bears on a conditioning stint, but he wasn't ready to play for the Capitals in the playoffs. It's just been practice, practice and more practice for Orlov, and he is, quite frankly, sick of it.

"Of course it's nice (to be skating), but honestly, I'm really tired (of) practice because the last year and a half I only practice, so I can't wait for games," Orlov told CSN Washington.

Orlov has played in 119 games for the Washington Capitals. This year, he is penciled in as a third-pairing defenseman.
