Canucks' goalie Jacob Markstrom makes audacious barehanded save

Being goalie is tough.

It's a lot tougher when you don't have all of your equipment.

That didn't stop Canucks goalie Jacob Markstrom from making this save in Monday's Vancouver-Winnipeg game.

After a scrum in front of the net, Markstrom lost both his blocker and stick. But when Alexander Burmistrov put a shot on net, Markstrom lunged for it with his barehand.

Markstrom ended up allowing five goals in Vancouver's 5-2 loss, but it easily could have been six if not for some gall by the 26-year-old goalie.
