Buffalo Sabres Jack Eichel Scores First Goal Of Season
The Buffalo Sabres are already enjoying the fruits of a healthy Eichel Tower!
Well that sure as hell didn’t take very long!
In just his first game back from a high ankle sprain that sidelined him for nearly the first two months of the 2016-17 season, Jack Eichel found the back of the net, scoring a power play goal at the 9:31 mark of the first period against the Ottawa Senators.
Eichel was the beneficiary of great patience and great puck-movement on the Sabres’ part, as he got himself set up in the left circle and hammered home a pass from Ryan O’Reilly.
See for yourself:
It’s hard to tell who was happier – Eichel, O’Reilly, the Sabres players on the ice, or the Sares players on the bench. Either way, it gets you right in the feels, don’t it?
The best part? It wasn’t even Eichel’s first point of the game, as he picked up an assist on Kyle Okposo’s power play goal that opened the scoring for the game.
It’s pretty safe to say that Jack Eichel is back, and the Buffalo Sabres are taking advantage of it, leading the Senators 3-1 at the end of one period of play.
