Brandon Pirri, Panthers agree to terms on two-year deal
Center Brandon Pirri has agreed to terms on a two-year deal with the Florida Panthers, the team announced Wednesday on Twitter and its website.
According to CapGeek, the deal is for $1.85 million.
The 23-year-old Toronto native was the 59th overall pick by Chicago in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. In 56 games in the league, he’s scored 13 goals and added 14 assists while recording a plus-7 rating.
He was also the leading scorer of the American Hockey League during the 2012-13 season, notching 75 points in 76 games.
After starting the 2013-14 season with Chicago, Pirri was sent to Florida in March in exchange for a third-round pick in last month’s draft in Philadelphia and a fifth-round selection in the 2016 draft.
