Brad Marchand composes touching Valentine for 'perfect' Patrice Bergeron
Episode 10 of the Boston Bruins' Behind the B TV series touched on how the team celebrates Valentine's Day, and Brad "The Bard" Marchand warmed hearts with his lengthy Valentine's Day card preparations.
It's easy enough to just pick up a card at the store, sign it and deliver it to a loved one, but Marchand goes the extra mile to personalize each note. Marchand even has a "special someone" on the team whom he went above-and-beyond to please on Valentine's Day.
"There's obviously one special person that I have in my heart all the time, and I think it's pretty clear that's [Patrice] Bergy [Bergeron]," Marchand told the cameras. "If we can find a little something special for him, then we will."
That something special turned out to be a card about smores, because surely nothing says love like the beloved campfire snack. Marchand then walked viewers through the writing process, emphasizing the importance of first drafts and bopping along to a musical card he bought.
Marchand's intensive efforts paid off when he hand-delivered his card to the beloved Bergeron.
Check out the video of the entire process:
It's hard to decide what's better, the card Marchand wrote for Bergeron or Marchand's reaction when Bergeron gave him a heart-shaped box of chocolates. Regardless, the video is a hilarious look into the softer side of an on-ice pest.
Job well done, Brad.
