Berube surprised by firing, was anyone else?

Despite a lack of commitment from GM Ron Hextall all season long, former-Flyers head coach Craig Berube maintains that he expected to be brought back next season in Philadelphia despite the warning signs that his tenure may be coming to an end.

Speaking publicly for the first time since his dismissal, Berube told the 94WIP morning show that "you’re always surprised when you get let go... I expected to come back and coach again."
