Anze Kopitar's dog trolls Maple Leafs over 49-year Cup drought
The Toronto Maple Leafs are one of the NHL’s most storied franchises -- and according to Forbes, its second-most valuable.
The Los Angeles Kings’ history book contains far fewer pages, and they rank ninth on Forbes’ list.
But recent years have seen the fortunes (on ice, anyway) change, with the Kings winning two Stanley Cups in the past four-plus seasons and the Maple Leafs having gone, well, a long time since last winning one.
So, apparently feeling pretty confident, Kings star Anze Kopitar’s dog -- yes, his dog -- trolled the Leafs with some tweets reminding them just how long it’s been since they hoisted Lord Stanley’s Cup.
