With LBs Alonso, Kendricks ailing, Eagles re-sign Najee Goode

With the health of their linebacking corps suddenly in question, the Philadelphia Eagles re-signed Najee Goode on Tuesday.

Goode, who spent the past two seasons with the Eagles, was the team's final cut on Sept. 5. He provides depth with the uncertainty surrounding injuries to inside linebackers Kiko Alonso and Mychal Kendricks.

Alonso is dealing with a potential long-term injury to his left knee, the same one on which he underwent surgery prior to last season. Hendricks suffered a hamstring strain in Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

To make room for Goode, 26, on the roster, Philadelphia released offensive lineman Julian Vandervelde.
