WATCH: Wilson's great escape halts Seahawks' first-half TD drought

The Seattle Seahawks entered Monday night's game against the Detroit Lions as the only team in the NFL not to score a first-half touchdown.

Quarterback Russell Wilson halted that drought with a breathtaking two-play sequence early in the second quarter.

Facing a third-and-12, Wilson kept the Seahawks' drive alive with a whirling-dervish play, spinning out of a would-be sack by Detroit's Jason Jones and eluding another tackler before finding Jermaine Kearse for a 34-yard completion down the left sideline.

Wilson then went for the jugular on the very next play, hitting wideout Doug Baldwin in stride in the back of the end zone with a 24-yard strike for a 7-0 lead.
